James P. Tatten, J.D.

Jim Tatten is a legislative and lobbying expert.  Jim has provided advice and guidance on complex state and federal issues since the late eighties.  Jim is a trusted advisor to state, regional and national leaders in health care, business and non-profits.

Prior to founding Tatten Hannigan, Jim was the Director of State Advocacy for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI).  CHI is the second largest Catholic hospital system in the United States.  At CHI, Jim was responsible for an advocacy agenda in 19 states.

From 1996 to 2002, Jim was the Executive Director and lobbyist for the Colorado Catholic Conference.  In that role, Jim acted as the representative for Colorado's Catholic bishops before the General Assembly, governors and executive agencies.

From 1988 to 1996, Jim was an attorney for the Nebraska Catholic Conference.  The Conference is the statewide, public-policy organization for the Catholic Church in Nebraska.

The Catholic Church is the largest, non-governmental provider of health care, educational and social services in Colorado and Nebraska.

Jim is admitted to practice law in Nebraska and several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States of America.  Jim graduated from the Creighton University School of Law in 1988.

Jim is a frequent speaker on policy issues, state and federal legislation and lobbying.

Michelle T. Hannigan, J.D.

Michelle T. Hannigan is an accomplished trial attorney and successful, small-business owner.  She is the founder of The Hannigan Law Firm.

Michelle is a highly regarded lecturer and speaker on a number of legal topics.  She is on the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, the premier training program for lawyers in the United States.

In 1995, Michelle was named the Young Lawyer of the Year by the Denver Bar Association.
